Meet Mackenzie Edmunds.
Q: What High School do you attend?
Please tell us about your current plans after high school and what inspired you to choose this path? My current plans are to attend Augusta University and possibly transfer to Georgia Southern after my freshman year at AU. I plan on majoring in criminal justice and hopefully work for like the FBI or GBI. I was inspired to do this because my dad is a cop and I’ve grown up around it and I’ve always loved crime stuff.
Please tell us a little bit about your family. I live with my mom. I have a twin sister named Madison and an older sister named Brittney and my dad is a cop.
Q: What are couple of your favorite restaurants in our community?
A: Chick-fil-A, Applebee’s, Sonic, Cracker Barrel.
Q: Who is the most interesting person you’ve met here in our community?
A: My 8th Grade teacher, JC Widener.
Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be and why?
A: New York City because I love the city and I just love the atmosphere and the style of NYC.
Q: What is one of your favorite movies? TV shows?
A: Movie: Me before You; TV Show: Criminal Minds, Law and Order: SVU, and Chicago PD.
Q: What’s the best advice you ever received from a teacher? Who was the teacher?
A: I can’t remember.
Q: What is your go to band / singer when you cant decide what to listen to?
A: LANY.
Q: If you could choose anyone to have lunch with, who would you choose? Why? And where, locally, would you meet for this lunch?
A: If it can be a celebrity I would say Matthew Gray Gubler from Criminal Minds because he is my favorite character is the show and he just seems very fun to talk too. We would meet at Chick- fil-A.
Q: What is your favorite thing about our community?
A: The Masters.
Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?
A: Hopefully I’ll be done with school and I’ll a good job and a family.
Q: What show are you binge-watching right now?
A: Criminal Minds.
Q: Favorite month? favorite holiday? and best single day on the calendar?
A: December, Christmas, Friday.
Q: Who inspires you to be better?
A: My mom.
Q: If you could go back over your entire school career, what is one thing you would do differently?
A: I would be more involved in my first few years of my high school career.
Q: Who or what do you miss the most right now?
A: My grandma who passed away a year ago.
Q: What’s the first thing you want to do when this quarantine is over?
A: Hang out with my friends and attend in person church services.
