Terressa Anderson

Meet Terressa Anderson.

Please tell us a little bit about your family. I am married, now for 8 years, to Tim Anderson. We have 2 children between us, Chandler Anderson and Taylor Williams (husband Tevin). My children live with us or on our property. I am a proud Nana of a 6 year old Grandson (Beau) and soon to be baby girl (Ivey Mae).

Please tell us about your current career. Thing you love most about what you do. I am a Certified Health & Transformation Coach (doing business as Anderson’s Coaching & Transformation, LLC), helping others to realize lifelong transformation, and awakening them to the opportunities and goals they can achieve.

Q: What inspired you or led you to your current career?

A: My mother actually inspired me to get healthier for years. I had tried many ways to lose weight and get healthy, but they didn’t stick. She then encouraged me again after seeing others transforming before our eyes. So, after I began seeing the success I was having with my health coach, I knew I had to be a part of something like this. Becoming a Health Coach has given me accountability for myself but an opportunity to follow a God given Call to serve others. I had no idea it would lead to me owning my own business and helping so many people and having not only a healthy body, but mind and finances too.

Q: What is your favorite restaurant in Evans, and what do you love there?

A: We love going to places with healthy options. Some of our favorite local places are: That Flippin’ Egg, McAlister’s Deli, Chicken Salad Chick, and Farmhaus Burgers.

Q: How long have you lived or worked in Evans?

A: 8 years now: I married my husband and moved to Augusta area from Gwinnett County where I lived all my life.

Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be? And why?

A: I would love to travel to Scotland and/or other countries in the Great Britain area. My roots are grounded in Ireland, Scotland and England so why not visit where you come from. Plus, it’s beautiful.

Q: What is one of your favorite movies? TV shows?

A: One of my favorite movies is Steel Magnolias because of the connection those ladies had with each other and the things they went through in their lives made them stronger. Plus, my daughter’s middle name comes from the movie – Mylyn (Sally Fields – M’lyn)j. TV- God Friended Me.

Q: What advice would you give a crowd of people?

A: Sit down, write out where you would like to be in 5 – 10 years and then write down what it would like like if failure wasn’t an option for you. Change only happens when you change..What kind of legacy do you want to leave for your children/grandchildren – mine – is a legacy of Health and Hope!

Q: What is something on your bucket list?

A: I like to call it my Life List and a couple of things I WILL do – 1: visit Scotland and 2: run a 5k.

Q: If you could choose anyone that is alive today and not a relative; with whom would you love to have lunch? Why? And where locally would y’all meet for this lunch?

A: There are many, but I would have to say Mandisa. She proved so many people wrong after her time on American Idol. More than that, she has overcome so many things in her life and I feel a connection through this. Weight, health and just fighting to be who you are is just a few reasons I resonate with her. She is an amazing and spiritual person and I would love to just sit down and take in any words of wisdom or advice she may have to help me help others. We would have to go to That Flippin Egg– I think should like it.

Q: What is your favorite thing or something unique about Evans?
