Meet Krista LaCroix
Please tell us a little bit about your family. My husband and I just celebrated our 18th wedding anniversary and have been together for 20 years. We have four kids. Our oldest, Chelsea is out on her own, we have a son, Leven, who passed away about 6 years ago, and we have another son, Sean, who is perusing his wrestling career, and our youngest daughter, Brittany, is working with special needs kids through The Center for New Beginnings.
Please tell us about your current career. Thing you love most about what you do. I clean houses for myself. I love what I do and I love the people I work for. It brings me joy to see them and get to love on them for a little while.
Q: What inspired you or led you to your current career?
A: It just made sense at the time. I am also a care giver for my mother-in-law so my schedule is flexible enough that I can take care of her as well.
Q: What is your favorite restaurant in Evans, and what do you love there?
Q: How long have you lived or worked in Evans?
A: I moved to Augusta in July of 1995. I’ve mostly worked in restaurants and hotels, some small businesses.
Q: Who is the most interesting person you’ve met here in Evans?
A: Joey Brush.
Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be? And why?
A: Ireland. I’ve always wanted to visit the countryside there and experience the beauty.
Q: What is one of your favorite movies? TV shows?
A: Pretty Woman and Grey’s Anatomy.
Q: What advice would you give a crowd of people?
A: Live as if everyday is a fresh start and new beginning. Stop living on the past you can’t change it anyway so live in the present and strive towards a wonderful future
Q: What is something on your bucket list?
A: To go on an Alaskan cruise.
Q: What is your go to band when you can’t decide what to listen to?
A: Anything from the 80’s.
Q: What current / former local business makes you the most nostalgic about Evans?
A: Ridge Rd Bait and Tackle. It’s where I met Robert.
Q: Choosing anyone alive and a non-relative with whom would you love to have lunch? Why and where would you have lunch?
A: My best friend from high school so we can catch up life. I would probably take her to Rhineharts. It’s an Augusta tradition.
Q: What is your favorite thing or something unique about Evans?
A: Clarks Hill Lake is one of my favorite places to go. Always open and lots of different beaches and a variety of things to do.
Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 or 10 years?
A: Hopefully living it up in my beach house or my rustic cabin in the mountains.
Q: (Even for friends or family), what is something interesting that most people don’t know about you?
A: I’ve met Mohammed Ali. I was working at a bank in Washington DC and he came in to visit our president of the bank. He did the same handkerchief trick over and over the whole time he was there. Very sweet man.
Q: What is the most beautiful place you have ever been?
A: Lake Tahoe.
Q: If you were cast in a movie and could choose your costar, who would it be?
A: Sophia Bush from One Tree Hill.
Q: What is your favorite month? holiday? and best single day on the calendar?
A: March. Christmas. March 20th.
Q: What would you rate a 10 out of 10?
A: My freedom in a sober life!!!
Q: Who inspires you to be better?
A: My son Sean.
Q: What is one or two of your favorite smells?
A: Gardenias and vanilla.
Q: If a movie was made of your life, who would you want to play you?
A: Molly Ringwald.

A: Love, Safe and Warm.
