Meet Malory Grosshans.
Q: What High School do you attend?
Please tell us about your current plans after high school and what inspired you to choose this path? My current plans after high school is to attend Aiken Technical College and get my Bachelors degree in nursing then transfer to either University of South Carolina Aiken or University of South Carolina Columbia for my associates degree. I really enjoy helping people and making sure everyone is okay, that’s what inspired me to take this path.
Please tell us a little bit about your family. I come from a kinda big family, i love them all dearly and they are my biggest supporters with everything i do.
Q: What are couple of your favorite restaurants in our community?
A: A couple of my favorite restaurants are Chick-fil-A, Cook Out, and Zaxby’s.
Q: Who is the most interesting person you’ve met here in our community?
A: One year when i was working at The Master’s i got the opportunity to meet Lil Wayne. I think that is the most interesting person I’ve met in our community.
Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be and why?
A: If i could travel anywhere right now i would probably go to Hawaii or Puerto Rico. I would want to visit Hawaii because of the beautiful scenery and i would want to visit Puerto Rico to visit one of my good friends that moved there.
Q: What is one of your favorite movies? TV shows?
A: One of my favorite movies is Forrest Gump. My favorite TV show is Grey’s Anatomy.
Q: What’s the best advice you ever received from a teacher? Who was the teacher?
A: The best advice i ever got from a teacher was to never give up there’s always something waiting for you at the end. And that was from Mrs. Connie Williams.
Q: What is your go to band / singer when you can’t decide what to listen to?
A: I don’t have a specific band, i usually listen to country music if i can’t find something to listen to.
Q: If you could choose anyone to have lunch with, who would you choose? Why? And where, locally, would you meet for this lunch?
A: It would be my best friend because i miss her like crazy and we would probably meet at Chick-fil-A.
Q: What is your favorite thing about our community?
A: I think we have a very beautiful community, we have lots of parks for kids and walking tracks for older people and places to play basketball or baseball or any other sport you could want to play.
Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?
A: In 5-10 years i see myself out of college with a good job my own house my own car and possibly children.
Q: What show are you binge-watching right now?
A: The Community.
Q: Favorite month? favorite holiday? and best single day on the calendar?
A: My favorite month would have to be May because all of the colors of spring are starting to come in and it’s so beautiful. My favorite holiday would have to be Christmas. I love all the lights and getting together with the whole family just warms my heart. The best single day on the calendar would be September 28th, that’s the day i was born.
Q: Who inspires you to be better?
A: My mother.
Q: If you could go back over your entire school career, what is one thing you would do differently?
A: I would definitely take it more serious, i tried to just ease my way through but i would definitely go back and do it all over again.
Q: Who or what do you miss the most right now?
A: I miss going to school and seeing my best friend everyday.
Q: What’s the first thing you want to do when this quarantine is over?
A: Go sit down somewhere and eat with all my friends.
