Meet Christina Powell.
Q: What High School do you attend?
Please tell us about your current plans after high school and what inspired you to choose this path? My plan after high school is to attend Valdosta State University to obtain my bachelors degree in biology. After Valdosta State I will attend either the University of Georgia to pursue my career as a Veterinarian or attend ABAC to pursue my career as a Veterinarian Technician.
Please tell us a little bit about your family. My family is absolutely amazing! They have supported every decision within my life no matter what it was with nothing but support and love. Each member will forever have my back through any circumstance and I know I can count on them.
Q: What are couple of your favorite restaurants in our community?
A: Applebee’s, Fernanda’s Grill & Pizzeria, Olive Garden, and Chick-fil-A.
Q: Who is the most interesting person you’ve met here in our community?
A: Anne Sawyer.
Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be and why?
A: I would like to travel to the Bahamas because I have never been outside of the country and that’s a place I’ve always wanted to visit.
Q: What is one of your favorite movies? TV shows?
A: My favorite movie is Nemo, and my favorite TV show is The Walking Dead.
Q: What’s the best advice you ever received from a teacher? Who was the teacher?
A: “Don’t be TRASHYYY” – Valeri Cushman.
Q: What is your go to band / singer when you can’t decide what to listen to?
A: Hillsong Worship.
Q: If you could choose anyone to have lunch with, who would you choose? Why? And where, locally, would you meet for this lunch?
A: I would choose Rachel Richards because I do not normally get to spend time with her. We would go to Kyoto’s which is a tradition.
Q: What is your favorite thing about our community?
A: The Brickyard for football games is my absolute favorite thing about my community.
Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?
A: In college pursing my education.
Q: What show are you binge-watching right now?
A: Big Bang Theory.
Q: Favorite month? favorite holiday? and best single day on the calendar?
A: July is my favorite month. Halloween is my favorite holiday. October 4th because it’s my birthday!
Q: Who inspires you to be better?
A: My mother Sharon Powell!
Q: If you could go back over your entire school career, what is one thing you would do differently?
A: My 9th grade year.
Q: Who or what do you miss the most right now?
A: I miss going to school!
Q: What’s the first thing you want to do when this quarantine is over?
A: I WANT TO GO BACK TO SCHOOL TO FINISH MY SENIOR YEAR 🙁
