Heather Linck, Benefits Integration Analyst

A little bit about Heather: “My boyfriend, Steven, and I have been together for 6 and a half years. We have the cutest Cocker Spaniel named Freckles and Steven’s son, Logan, visits with us every other weekend. We live just down the street from Steven’s parents as well as his sister, brother-in-law, and nephew. We’re a pretty close group.

Please tell us about your current career. What led you to it and what Do you love most about what you do?  “My former place of employment was literally sucking the life out of me. I knew I needed to find a company that truly cared about their employees and made workplace culture a top priority. And I absolutely found it! I work remotely full-time for Paylocity as a Benefits Integration Analyst. I build EDI file feeds for our clients to electronically transmit their employee benefit enrollments to the company’s specified carriers. It sounds complicated and it is. Haha. But I truly love my job because I’m helping make our clients lives easier by avoiding duplicate work. I also have two side hustles. (I like to stay busy. Haha.) I am the owner of Sweet Cheeks Sugar Shoppe, a home bakery specializing in custom cakes and cookies. I partner with Steven’s sister, owner of Kimmy Ray Photography, and make most of the cakes for her cake smash photo sessions. I also pet sit and board in our home. Animals have such a big place in my heart and I love to comfort them while their owners are away.”

It’s not just dinner… it’s an experience! It’s a must try if you’ve never been! The Village Deli is also another favorite. A little hole in the wall, blink and you’ll miss it kind of place, but hands down fantastic food and the service is top notch! Get a country fried steak sandwich with beer battered fries. You won’t be disappointed!”

He’s got a fantastic entrepreneurial spirit and it certainly shows from his two very successful businesses.”
