Meet Ansley Wood.
Q: What High School do you attend?
Please tell us about your current plans after high school and what inspired you to choose this path? I am going to AU to pursue a nursing career. I was inspired to choose this path by my mother.
Please tell us a little bit about your family. I have a very supportive family with my parents and my brother. As well as both sets of grandparents being involved in our lives.
Q: What are couple of your favorite restaurants in our community?
A: Panda Express, Firehouse Subs, and Zaxby’s.
Q: Who is the most interesting person you’ve met here in our community?
A: Mrs. Vandenabeele, my Sports Med teacher.
Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be and why?
A: Anywhere with a beautiful clear ocean because I love the water. New York because I loved the city and there are many places I would still like to see.
Q: What is one of your favorite movies? TV shows?
A: Matilda is my all time favorite movie.
Q: What’s the best advice you ever received from a teacher? Who was the teacher?
A: To always be true to myself and not worry about what others think about me. Mrs. Vandenabeele.
Q: What is your go to band / singer when you can’t decide what to listen to?
A: No bands but I usually listen to Lizzo, Billie Eilish, or Post Malone.
Q: If you could choose anyone to have lunch with, who would you choose? Why? And where, locally, would you meet for this lunch?
A: My best friend Araya because we can sit for hours talking and it only feels like a couple minutes. We would probably get Sonic together and take it back to one of our homes.
Q: What is your favorite thing about our community?
A: I love that all of my friends and my close family are here.
Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?
A: I see myself pursuing a career as a pediatric nurse practitioner.
Q: What show are you binge-watching right now?
A: The Twilight Zone.
Q: Favorite month? favorite holiday? and best single day on the calendar?
A: February because that is the month I was born. Halloween best day to spend with friends.
Q: Who inspires you to be better?
A: Paige Orlando, she started out as my softball pitching coach, but is now my friend and trainer.
Q: If you could go back over your entire school career, what is one thing you would do differently?
A: Attend more school events.
Q: Who or what do you miss the most right now?
A: Seeing and talking with all my friends.
Q: What’s the first thing you want to do when this quarantine is over?
A: Go rollerskating.
