Meet Abigail Sara Michelle Pickens.

Q: What High School do you attend?

A: Evans High School.

Please tell us about your current plans after high school and what inspired you to choose this path? After high school I plan to attend GCSU as an undeclared business major with a minor in accounting. I would like to become a financial advisor who is eventually self employed. I chose this path because I have always been very interested in the “cycle” of money and budget making!

Q: What are couple of your favorite restaurants in our community?

A: A couple of my favorite restaurants in the community include – Logan’s Steakhouse, and Chick-fil-A.

Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be and why?

A: If i could travel anywhere in the world right now it would be to Maldives, South Asia. I would travel here because of how beautiful the environment is and simply because it is a place to visit that is on my bucket list !

Q: What’s the best advice you ever received from a teacher? Who was the teacher?

A: Mr. Cowart – Spanish 1 & 2 at Evans High – “ do not stop trying your best until everything is 110% finished, you won’t regret it”

Q: What is your go to band / singer when you can’t decide what to listen to?

A: Matt Mason.

Q: If you could choose anyone to have lunch with, who would you choose? Why? And where, locally, would you meet for this lunch?

A: I would love to have lunch with Mrs. Jan Scarbary. My reasoning being I would simply like to thank her for all the hard work she does every single day, and especially for the seniors. We would more than likely meet at Chick-fil-A.

Q: What is your favorite thing about our community?

A: My favorite thing about the community is how welcoming and kind hearted not only the adults are, but also the children!

Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?

A: In 10 years I will be 28 – I see myself with a masters in business, and having a stable long term job as a personal financial adviser. I would like to think I would be married and have traveled the world a little bit! Of course first being to Maldives(: and just beginning to have children. ( But that is all in Gods hand).

Q: Favorite month? favorite holiday? and best single day on the calendar?

A: My favorite Month is December because of all the Christmas lights. My favorite holiday is Christmas, because you get to be with family! Last but not least the best single day on the calendar is my birthday of course!

Q: Who inspires you to be better?

A: Destiny and Phillip Johnson inspire me to be the best version of myself every single day, and I am not sure there is much more a person could ask for.

Q: If you could go back over your entire school career, what is one thing you would do differently?

A: Considering I moved to Evans middle of my sophomore year – I would have definitely moved here freshman year so I could get to spend 4 years with all the amazing people I have met!

Q: Who or what do you miss the most right now?

A: Right now I miss my Dad, Mom, and sister.

Q: What’s the first thing you want to do when this quarantine is over?

A: I want to have a huge lake day followed by a movie night in my backyard with all my friends.
