Meet Drew Eller.
Q: What High School do you attend?
Please tell us about your current plans after high school and what inspired you to choose this path? I plan to attend Lander University on a wrestling scholarship and major in International Business and Business Management. I chose this path because of my deep background in wrestling and I have been wrestling since I was 6 years old. I chose Business Management because I plan to use this degree to be a Market Analyst.
Please tell us a little bit about your family. I live with my mom and dad and my older sister and younger brother. I have another older sister who is married and lives in Grovetown. I have another older brother who is married and lives in Colorado. I have a niece and two nephews. All of my family supports me in everything I do and have helped me with my success in wrestling and in all aspects of life.
Q: What are couple of your favorite restaurants in our community?
A: Zaxby’s, Monterrey’s and La Cocina Del Rey.
Q: Who is the most interesting person you’ve met here in our community?
A: My high school wrestling coach Rich Davis. He has a very hard shell but once you get to know him he is full of surprises.
Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be and why?
A: I would like to visit California because I like the beaches and the west coast.
Q: What is one of your favorite movies? TV shows?
A: Favorite movie- Nerve TV and favorite show- The Office.
Q: What’s the best advice you ever received from a teacher? Who was the teacher?
A: The teacher was Mr. Robert McCullough, he taught me many life skills that will stick with me for a very long time. He taught me not only better social interaction skills but also skills to be prepared for life after school.
Q: What is your go to band / singer when you cant decide what to listen to?
A: Arizona Zervas.
Q: If you could choose anyone to have lunch with, who would you choose? Why? And where, locally, would you meet for this lunch?
A: Billie Eilish, we would meet at Monterrey’s and I would pick her because she’s an icon among my age group.
Q: What is your favorite thing about our community?
A: There’s a wide variety of people.
Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?
A: Being a market analyst in Florida, and enjoying the beaches and helping coach a high school or college wrestling program.
Q: What show are you binge-watching right now?
A: Brooklyn 99.
Q: Favorite month? favorite holiday? and best single day on the calendar?
A: Favorite month- July: favorite holiday- Halloween and favorite day- September 14th.
Q: Who inspires you to be better?
A: My brother, Jackson. He is loved by anyone who meets him, and he is the most accepting and loving person I’ve ever met.
Q: If you could go back over your entire school career, what is one thing you would do differently?
A: Make more friends.
Q: Who or what do you miss the most right now?
A: My friends at school.
Q: What’s the first thing you want to do when this quarantine is over?
A: Go hang out with my friends and go to the beach.
